Blessed Are Those Who Can See

“Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.

‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5: 1-16)

Its no secret that we live in very trying times. If our lives were not stressful enough without a global pandemic to add to the mix. We all were already stretched to the breaking point before all this happened, now how are we going to cope?

It is not about us!

Everything is not about us!

We must remember and understand that what is happening around us is not all about our individual lives. Yes, we are all being tormented in one way or another. We are hearing of loss that none of us wish upon our enemies, yet we are instructed to move on. We are told that we are to be His Mighty Solders and that we must Stand when the time comes. We must hold true to what is right in this world, as we all see it turning dark fast……

If you haven’t noticed the state borders within the United States are about to be shut down, limiting travel due to the Covid 19 Virus. The plan is to have some places open for business while other locations must contain the virus prior to being released back into civilization.

Many communities are calling for mandatory testing and some are requiring a blood sample. The countries who have contained the virus, test thousands of people every day. The moto is test everyone all the time to contain the virus. If only there was some way to implant a devise that would test the subject all day, every day and will notify the authorities as soon as the subject tests positive? Only during this time in humanity could a concept like that be possible and probable at the same time.

We who are able to see, understand what is unfolding within our global society. We have heard the warning given to us from the Prophets of Old and we have been longing, just as they did, for the return of our Messiah!

Look up as your redemptions draws near, but don’t forget about the snake at your feet. We all must understand that the battle has just begun. This the beginning of the Birth Pains. We have a long way to go before we see our Lord. Until that time, we must bring Him honor and glory for what He has done for us and those we love. We must honor Him until we are with Him!

“Therefore, since we have been justified though faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into their hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him though the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God thought our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” (Romans 5: 1-11)

A House Divided Cannot Stand

“Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” (Matthew 12: 25-28)

Our current day is filled with division. This division is apparent on every front but the most recent division that has engulfed our beliefs is the separation between the children of God. Christians today should have a common goal and a common front, but our belief system has become shattered with the rise of extreme ideology.

We have so many individual sects of Christianity that trying to understand all the different belief systems will make your head spin. We are constantly being told that this denomination has the correct interpretation or this one is dividing the word correctly, or this one is telling us the correct way to live and this conflict has caused many to alienate their fellow Christians. We are even being separated according political lines as one extreme view is trying to trump any other Christian views on how we should respect our fellow man.

This division is only going to cause the extreme views to rise within our Church. This is what history has shown us, that when extreme division occurs, the most radical views tend to gain strength while the less radical become engulfed within this change in society.

We are seeing this become stronger as the day grows long. We are seeing the political arena become the voice of the Christian Church. We are seeing this extreme view take over the Christian narrative and with it the rise of the radical belief system with it.

There is a reason that the era when the Church was also the political leader is called the Dark Ages. We must have this separation between Church and State as history has proven that when they merge, the moral wellbeing of many is compromised for those left in power. Many believe that they are completing God’s work but, in the end, death and pain always follows.

We as Christians must stand up for the example Jesus gave us, through his life. We must show compassion to all those around us and we must remain strong and unified against any force that may arise. We cannot allow political leaders to manipulate our moral being to justify their power and reelection campaigns. We must hold true to what we know is right, regardless as to who says they have our wellbeing in heart.

“When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. ‘Do you understand what I have done for you?’ he asked them. ‘You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’, and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.’” (John 13: 13-17)

Left or Right, Either Way Blood Will Run in 2020

“Then they brought him a demon possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, ‘Could this be the Son of David?’

But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, ‘It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.’

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.’” (Matthew 12: 22-28)

There is no secret that the true State of our Union is divided and scattered. The United States is the most divided that this country has been since the Civil War tore this country apart. Only this time we are so splintered that even the large factions cannot agree with each other. Those that support gun rights cannot support gay rights, those that support freedom of speech cannot support gun control, those that support religious freedom cannot support a socialist state. These are but many examples of the segregation that is occurring within our great country.

Even with these deep divisions, we refuse to acknowledge the deep down racial and religious persecution that is occurring. The laws being created against poor brown immigrants vs white affluent immigrants show the hypocrisy of our system. The financial inequality between the 1% and those struggling paycheck to paycheck sheds light to the broken capitalistic society we have created. Everywhere we look we can see this division widening and both sides are becoming more boldened and empowered.

Those at the top of the economic latter believe they are entitled to their status while groups against the rise of corporatism are regarded as terrorists. Many who consider their religious morals superior consider those of different moral compasses as inferior to their beliefs and should conform while many see the hypocrisy of our society and its treatment of our poor. How can so many have so much while others have nothing? How can this be considered a religious society when greed has blinded empathy?

Everywhere we look we can see the division among this country, but no place is it more paramount then within the political arena. The sideshow of the American political system has polarized and radicalized the populous and we are treading on very thin ice. It won’t take much to cause this present anger to boil over and cause substantial damage to our society. All it will take is for one party to get elected over another. Considering this is exactly what democracy is, we can see what is going to happen.

There has been speculation that the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another would be circumvented for many years. Rumors around the great recession being the reason to delay the election of 2008 and to keep President Bush in power were all over the internet. The same occurred when President Trump was elected as many rumors spread about President Obama retaining power after the results of the election. This speculation has been present, but it has never been something spoken about directly from the President of the United States. That is until President Donald Trump came out publicly stating that he believed he was entitled two additional years within his presidency due to the trouble caused by the Mueller Investigation. This was followed by President Trump talking publicly about staying within his presidency through a third term. All joking aside, this causes many to consider that the peaceful transfer of power from the Trump Administration may become an issue.

Take this rhetoric and add into the growing violent and aggressive stances of groups like the Alt-Right and Antifa and we have a recipe for disaster. With spreading inequality, growing segregation and separation, our society is causing the desire for many individuals to act out, showing their support for their beliefs. We can see this with increasing senseless mass shootings that are engulfing our society. What do you think will happen when one group considers the actions of another to be so extreme that they have to act against it? We can see this developing right now within this great nation!

No matter what political party wins the presidency during the 2020 Presidential Election, we are going to have trouble. If President Trump wins, he will become more emboldened and more aggressive toward furthering his agenda. This will cause both his supporters and his opposers to become bolder in their actions, causing a snowball effect within our society. If President Trump is not elected, the incoming party will work to dissolve what he has built, angering Trump’s supporters and embolden aggression for and against the Trumpites. Those who believe the spread of the Trump gospel have caused the disintegration of our society will act against their prior oppressors while disenchanted Trump supporters will feel their country has forsaken them and will do anything they can to maintain the status quo. Either way, we are in trouble!

We have come to a breaking point within our country and our society. Corporations and the ultra-wealthy have taken everything, and history has shown that this always causes revolution. The separation between the political parties show the crack within our democracy. The rise of racial and sexual attacks while we neglect our homeless population shows the moral decay within America. When will we see what is happening and stop fighting with ourselves? My fear is that we will not until it is too late……

“Then tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you. But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, ‘this is what the Lord Almighty says: You must drink it! See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword on all who live on the earth, declares the Lord Almighty.

Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them: ‘The Lord will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth. The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, for the Lord will bring charges against the nations; he will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the sword,’ declares the Lord. This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation, a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.’

At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere – from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried but will be like dung lying on the ground.

Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your time to be slaughtered has come; you will fall like the best of the rams. The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape. Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the Lord is destroying their pasture. The peaceful meadows will be laid waste because of the fierce anger of the Lord. Like a lion he will leave his lair, and their land will become desolate because of the sword of the oppressor and because of the Lord’s fierce anger.” (Jeremiah 25: 27-38)

“A Man’s Enemies Will be Members of His Own Household”

“What misery is mine! I am like one who gathers summer fruit and the gleaning of the vineyard; there is no cluster of grapes to eat, none of the early figs that I crave. The fruitful have been swept from the land; not one upright person remains.

Everyone lies in wait to shed blood; they hunt each other with nets. Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the rulers demand gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire – they all conspire together. The best of them is like brier, the most upright worse than a thorn hedge.

The day God visits you has come, the day your watchmen sound the alarm. Now is the time of your confusion.

Do not trust a neighbor; put no confidence in a friend. Even with the woman who lies in your embrace guard the words of your lips. For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – a man’s enemies are the members of his own household.

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” (Micah 7: 1-7)

For generations the writings of the Old Testament Prophets were clouded in mystery. Many were unable to depict what the Prophets were proclaiming, and others stated that their visions were for their specific time and not associated to a prophetic future. This aura of mystery is starting to dematerialize within our modern society and we are starting to understand the visions that were hid from many.

The key to understanding if a prophetic Old Testament vision is meant for the time of the end is simple. The Prophet themselves will tell you when the vision is meant for. For example, in Micah chapter 7 we are shown that he is talking about a time when God will visit us and the time when the watchmen sound their horn. We are told this is the “Day of the Lord” as many Bible verses refer this day and proclaim it to be “In that day”. This helps us understand that every time the Scripture uses the phrase “in that day” it is used it is referring to the Day of the Lord.

Many proclaim that this will be the day that Jesus returns and starts His rule upon the earth. Many believe this teaching, but they lack the understanding to know what this truly means.  The clear majority of modern Christians believe this means they will be Raptured prior to any End-time events occurring. Unfortunately, this teaching is lacking true foundation as we are told that “The Day of the Lord” is the actual day that God Himself comes down to Earth to judge the wicked inhabitants of the Earth.

“Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled! She obeys no one, she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God.

Her officials within her are roaring lions; her rulers are evening wolves, who leave nothing for the morning. Her prophets are unprincipled; they are treacherous people. Her priests profane the sanctuary and do violence to the law.

The Lord within her is righteous; he does not wrong. Morning by morning he dispenses his justice, and every new day he does not fail, yet the unrighteous know no shame.

‘I have destroyed nations; their strongholds are demolished. I have left their streets deserted, with no one passing through. Their cities are laid waste; they are deserted and empty.

Of Jerusalem I thought, ‘Surely you will fear me and accept correction!’ Then her place of refuge would not be destroyed, nor all my punishments come upon her. But they were still eager to act corruptly in all they did.

‘Therefore, wait for me,’ declares the Lord, ‘for the day I will stand up to testify. I have decided to assemble the nations, to gather the kingdoms and to pour out my wrath on them – all my fierce anger. The whole world will be consumed by the fire of my jealous anger.

Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder. From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring me offerings. On that day, Jerusalem, will not be put to shame for all the wrongs you have done to me, because I will remove from you your arrogant boasters. Never again will you be haughty on my holy hill.

But I will leave within you the meek and humble. The remnant of Israel will trust in the name of the Lord. They will do no wrong; they will tell no lies. A deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouths. They will eat and lie down, and no one will make them afraid.” (Zephaniah 3: 1-13)

Many within today’s society are boasting about this day. They are proclaiming that their salvation is coming and that they need not fear for their Lord is retuning. They hope that His arrival in the clouds will bring about the Rapture and they will be able to watch what unfolds upon the world below.

“If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.

But in those days, following that distress, ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.” (Mark 13: 20-27)

The clear distinction between the two passages is that God leaves a remnant behind to bring glory to Him while Jesus gathers his elect from all over the globe. We are told that this would happen after a time of great distress and once the sun turns dark and the moon turns blood red. If this is true, then everyone on earth would be required to endure the distress of the day prior to the “Sign of the Son of Man”:

“Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

So, when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation’, spoken of through the prophet Daniel – let the reader understand – then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now – and never to be equaled again.

If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive if possible event the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.

So, if anyone tells you, ‘There he is out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or ‘Here he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

Immediately, after the distress of those days ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect form the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” (Matthew 24: 4-31)

Again, we are given instructions from Jesus himself explaining the events that will transpire prior to his arrival. Within this passage we are told about the great distress that will occur prior to the sun turning dark and the moon turning red. We are instructed that this distress will be like no other time in human history and Jesus specifically states that His followers will be hunted down and killed.  His instruction is to endure to the end as those that make it to the end shall be saved.

The other interesting event that occurs is the Sign of the Son of Man. We are told by Jesus that everyone on Earth will witness this event and that it is different than the Sun turning dark event.  Jesus also states that the Sign of the Son of Man will happen after the Sun and Moon event. In no way does the Scriptures indicate that there will be a secret Rapture prior to these trials. According to Jesus the exact opposite will occur. Everyone will know when He returns.

“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Understanding that the Return of Jesus and the Return of God himself are two different events, helps shed light onto the passage many “Biblical Scholars” use to depict the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. It can be seen that the Day of the Lord shall occur, God will judge the world, and then Jesus will return to gather his elect after the wicked have been destroyed.   This depiction can also be seen within the parable of the Wheat that Jesus used to explain the Kingdom to his disciples:

“Jesus told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

‘No,’ he answered, because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time, I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” (Matthew 13: 24-30)

This is exactly what the Prophet Zephaniah said God would do in the Last Days! There is no dispute as the Old Testament Prophets, Jesus, and God are all saying the same thing! That is why we are given this instruction from the Prophet Amos:

“Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the Lord God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.

Therefore, this is what the Lord, the Lord God Almighty, says: ‘There will be wailing in all the streets and cries of anguish in every public square. The farmers will be summoned to weep and the mourners to wail. There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,’ says the Lord.

Woe, to you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you long for the day of the Lord? That day will be darkness, not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him. Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light – pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?” (Amos 5: 14-20)

The Day of the Lord is coming whether believer’s wish for its arrival or not. We do not have a choice about its coming, but we are instructed to understand what this means. The arrival of the Day of the Lord will occur prior to the Return of Jesus, meaning every human will be required to participate in its judgments.  Yes, we are told that we will not be subject to God’s Wrath but that does not mean believers will be Raptured prior to its outpouring.  Not being subject to God’s Wrath only means that He allows you to endure to the end if you are one of His chosen, His elect.

Understanding this we must view our unfolding world for what it actually is. The darkness is unfolding at a rapid rate and our society is being torn in numerous pieces. Nobody can agree, and this separation is becoming more apparent as time progresses. We are told to protect ourselves from everyone during this time and unfortunately our Savior told us exactly what He was going to do. There is no surprise and we all must be prepared for the realization of what we must truly endure!

“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!

So, do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So, don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

Do not suppose that I will come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – a man’s enemies will be members of his own household.’

Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” (Matthew 10: 21-39)

When Judgment Comes, Our Instruction is to Watch and Endure!

“And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24: 3-14)

Our Lord and Savior were asked about the events that would transpire prior to His second coming.  He was very specific as to what will happen and His only instructions during this time were to not be deceived and to endure until the end.

We were warned about many calamities that would happen to the inhabitants of the world. Jesus spoke of wars, earthquakes, false prophets and the love of many growing cold and we were to not be troubled by these events.  We were to find hope and strength knowing that these trials mark His return and our salvation from this world of pain.

When looking at our Savior’s words, we can understand that during this time, there will be massive suffering and death that will occur to all those who live on the earth. Modern teachers present a fairy-tale stating that Christians should not worry as they will be taken from this earth prior to any end time events occurring but Jesus himself states that we will be hated and delivered up to be afflicted. Considering that everything is in God’s power, we can see that He will allow our persecution to be the beacon of love that will lead the world to Him.

There are reasons that Jesus depicted these events in the order that He did. We can see that He is laying out how these events will transpire and we can see the persecution of the Church comes before the preaching of the gospel to the world.  We can also see that during the time of Christian persecution, false prophets shall arise leading many away from the truth. Knowing this we can understand that the Church is present during this time and not taken away prior to the gospel being preached to the entire world.

And what does the only begotten Son of God give as instruction to His followers during this time? Our only instruction is to ENDURE UNTIL THE END!!

Remain safe my friends and continue being a light to the world, as we must shine! We must shine so brightly, that we will be the light to which the world will follow, so that they may understand that Jesus is the true Messiah.  As without us, there shall be no light!

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’s sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Matthew 5: 3-17)

The World’s Trust in the American Democratic System is Failing

Our founding fathers had a vision of a world where religious freedom was combined with liberty and justice for all. They envisioned a time when America would be a beacon of hope to the rest of the world and their vision came true for many. The United States of America has been viewed by the entire world as the place to reach for prosperity and freedom.  We have been this beacon of hope for 100 years since the end of the First World War.

America grew to global dominance when the Allied forces conquered the Axis forces and the Great War came to an end. The economic power of the entire world was entrusted in the United States as Fort Knox became the storage facility for the world’s gold and the US Stock Exchange became the global place for international commerce. We rose to the top of the food chain and were the driving force for change around the world.

We had our international power challenged with the rise of Germany and Japan during the Second World War and again remained triumphant. The Great Hope continued to shine across the world and became the great wonder of the modern world.

Americans saw the rise of the Middle Class, an event that had never happened during the reign of modern man and this prosperity allowed for every citizen to partake in the riches of the world. Our prosperity increased and our civil liberties grew at exponential rates.  We witnessed the rise of leaders like, Martin Luther King Jr and John F. Kennedy, who pioneered civil liberty expansion and ushered in a time when every man or woman would be able to prosper regardless of race or sex.

These liberties have expanded to where individuals are able to express themselves in ways those generations before only dreamed of. This was the vision that our founding fathers had for the new world, a place where everyone could be themselves without the oversight of tyrannical leaders.

The entire world witnessed the rise of the Middle Class and longed to partake in this unique society. Numerous American Presidents expanded democracy around the world and we were able to witness democratic elections in almost every country on Earth. This democratic expansion was seen as a new world emerging and that it would usher in a time of global peace where every citizen had the same rights as another.

The one factor that could not be anticipated is that for the American Democratic System to continue globally, trust in the system must be maintained. If there ever came a time where the system was questioned, or that individual’s did not believe their vote counted, the system would falter. Without trust, the American Democratic System would not exist as it is a trust based system.

Unfortunately, the first crack showed up during the 2000 Presidential Election. The fact that there were allegations that votes were not counted or that the Governor of Florida manipulated results to allow George W. Bush to become President caused trust in the democratic system to deteriorate.  For the first time in American history, people believed that the election was rigged and that there was a conspiracy within the government of the United States.  Regardless if this was true or not, the allegations were damaging enough to enter the psyche of the American public, ultimately expanding to the entire world.

Events like 911, the Iraq war and the attack against the Libyan Embassy in Benghazi only amplified this conspiracy belief bringing in a time of global unrest that we have never seen. Never before has the world challenged the integrity of the American power base and its loyalty to the American public. This distrust has led to a world where we can no longer trust the governing establishment or the news sources that bring the public information. We truly are in a world where trust has deteriorated beyond anything modern man has ever witnessed.

Since the election of President Donald Trump, the world has been spinning out of control and the American Democratic System has been falling apart around the world. Numerous elections have been disputed and civil unrest is rising against the governing parties. Countries like Honduras and Venezuela have seen civil unrest that has caused military intervention to stop the violence.

Democracy depends on the public trust and without trust Democracy cannot succeed. The fact that the United States of American is having an investigation into the election of President Donald Trump illustrates the severity of this deterioration. It does not matter if President Trump was legally elected or if he cheated his way into the Presidency. Either way, Democracy is being torn apart.  We are witnessing this all around the world and during every election. It is currently rarer for an election to be undisputed then disputed.

Unfortunately, the vision of our forefathers to create a world where every individual had the right to elect their leaders and those leaders looked out for the people has died. We as Americans have failed our founding fathers and their vision. We have allowed our leaders to become corrupt and without morals. We have allowed our election system to become unjust and unfair. We have allowed our way of life to be destroyed and it may never be repairable.

The only hope that we as global citizens can have is to believe that the election system will be fixed and things can go back to the way they were before doubt entered our minds. The only question that we all can ask ourselves is, how?

The False Teaching of Prosperity

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then.  But at that time your people – everyone whose name is found written in the book – will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.  But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end.  Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.

Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”

The man clothed with linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heavens, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times, and half a times. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”

I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”

He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.  Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.”

“From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.”

“As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.” (Daniel 12: 1-13 NIV)

The prophet Daniel was given a vision of what the time of the end would look like.  His vision was filled with symbolism and details that even he did not understand.  From that moment, God’s people have strived to see the world that was foretold to come.  Man has presented interpretations to explain everything that Daniel saw and have created the rise of many false prophets due to this search.  People have been told throughout time that they understood what Daniel was trying to tell the final generation.  From Daniel’s own writings we are told that only the final generation would be able to understand these images and events.  That only the wise of that chosen generation would have the understanding to know what he was truly being shown.

Our God has provided every bit of information that we need to know, that we are indeed living in the prophetic time that Daniel was speaking about.  We can turn on the television and witness the horrors unfolding on our world and feel the helplessness of watching it impact every human being on the face of the world.  We are told that the entire Earth will be inundated with turmoil in a way that the world has never seen.  We have been warned that this dark time would be like no other time in history.  Considering Scripture tells us that there is nothing new under the Sun and that everything has been done before, this time is very special indeed.  (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

Daniel is also warned that the wicked will continue to be wicked and that they will not understand what is happening right before their eyes.  The lawlessness and evil of the final generation is stuff that many a Biblical scholars have written about.  There are already numerous books available about the evil that will be present during the End Times and how the final generation will appear.  For those that are able to see, living within this dark generation is completely different then reading about it.

It is no secret that our society has traveled down the dark pit of greed and lust.  Our society is filled with those who no longer love their God but choose to pursue their selfish ambitions instead of watching for their Savior’s return.  Those that actually study and understand what is happening are being cast as outsiders and liars, even by their own congregations.  The separations that are happening within our society and the Church are allowing the most extreme beliefs and personalities to rise to the forefront and cast those who can see to the side.  If the message is not exactly what the leaders want to present, the message is not heard.

Many have been cast aside as unknowing, unknowledgeable, and with lack of understanding.  Unless you fit within their message, which is dictated to the masses, you are not seen as credible or part of God’s people.  What has been true to God, throughout the entirety of creation, we as a society have rejected.  We have chosen to interpret Scripture for our own selfish ambitions while presenting the hope of avoiding God’s eternal judgement.  We are filling the churches with those that want to hear of their removal and redemption without trial.  Our Church leaders have made the masses weak and without understanding, instead of preparing them for the judgements that are coming. We are told that this would be exactly how the final generations would be when John wrote to the church of Laodicea:

“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3: 14-22 NIV)

Jesus talks about this final generation with a sense of betrayal.  He wishes that the people of the Earth would chose a side, that they would show where their alliance lies.  Instead this final generation longs for nothing.  They are deceived enough to believe that they have everything that they need and that they no longer need the guidance or love from their Creator.  But there is a portion of this generation that is loved and does show their loyalty toward God.  Those chosen few are not rewarded with riches and luxuries of this world.  Instead they are rebuked and disciplined by the one they follow.  Unfortunately, this is the exact opposite of what the masses are being taught today.

The Church is filled with the teaching of prosperity.  The teaching of prosperity is the belief that if you do God’s will, and follow him correctly, that your life on Earth will prosper.  This fits very well within our modern society of Capitalism and the American way of life.  The world looks at the riches of the American public with longing eyes as the appearance of wealth is abundant.  Every social media post shows happiness and blessings abound.  Combined with the teaching of prosperity, we can see the exact description that Jesus provided to the Church of Laodicea.  There is no fancy interpretation needed to compare our modern American society with the society spoken about in this letter.  We can see that it is describing the American way of life with exact precision.

This way of life has unfortunately spread to all corners of the globe.  Every aspect of society has been infiltrated with this illusion of prosperity.  Our global society is no different than the American culture that we fight so hard to preserve.  This sickness has spread to every country and the stench from our sins has now infected every nation and people.  Look at each country and you will see greed and suffering.  Those in power, who have prospered from this way of life, take from those that have less. The income disparity is widening and we are seeing a global structure being put in place that removes the wealth from the majority of mankind.

Jesus says that this final generation will have the illusion of wealth and happiness but that they are poor and wretched.  He begs them to seek him and his kingdom with the guarantee that they will be rebuked and disciplined.   Jesus never says that they will be given abundance and thrive due to their works.  Jesus only guaranteed to them that they will be granted eternal life, through his grace and his grace alone:

“As for you, you are dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of the world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the sprit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2: 1-10 NIV)

At no time is there a mention of grace’s redemptive power combined with financial prosperousness.  Instead the scriptures illustrates that we are to look to the coming ages for our riches and prosperity.  This combined with Jesus stating in Revelation 3 that those he love will be rebuked and disciplined show that modern man is striving toward the wrong goal.

Many a teacher will state that God wants his followers to be prosperous and happy in this world and that by doing good deeds, they will be give favor over the heathens.  Unfortunately this teaching only leads to the depiction of the generation warned by Jesus in the letter to the church of Laodicea.  It is a false teaching that is deteriorating the spirit of God’s people and leading them toward destruction.

Even if this depiction is false, how does the teaching of prosperity bring the fruits of our Heavenly Father’s kingdom?  How would God benefit from enriching his people on Earth and providing for all of their needs?  Unfortunately, if this was His plan, then Jesus would be contradicting himself when he spoke of the difficulties of a rich man to enter heaven. “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.’” (Matthew 19: 23-24 NIV)

The act of a camel fitting through the eye of a needle is impossible so we can understand that if God used the teaching of prosperity, he would be ensuring that no one would get into heaven. The odds of being the one that does accomplish this goal would be completely against the millions of believers who long to be prosperous and wealthy.

For those who are following our Lord and Savior, the road is much more difficult.  The trials to be faced by the chosen are going to be beyond measure, but necessary.  We are told that this chosen generation will be tried by fire and made pure.  They will witness events that the prophets of old longed to see and that we have all been warned about.  To be part of this generation, we must be ready to endure many trials and become a new being for our Lord!
