Do Not Be Afraid of Those Who Can Kill the Body but Cannot Kill the Soul

“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,’ says the Lord Almighty.

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.

‘So, I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,’ says the Lord Almighty.

‘I the Lord do not change. So, you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.

‘But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ ‘Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’

‘In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse – your whole nation – because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,’ says the Lord Almighty.

‘You have spoken arrogantly against me,’ says the Lord. ‘Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’ ‘You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly, evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.

‘On the day when I act,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.’” (Malachi 3: 1-18)

Our world is changing so quickly that no one can keep up with all the changes that are happening. Combine the technological advances with the recent Coronavirus outbreak and our world will never be the same.

We are hearing positive rumors like universal income for all and extending monetary help to those in need. We are also hearing disturbing developments like the coming mandatory vaccination combined with the community desire for on-demand testing of every human on the planet. Some ideas are out right frightening, and we must pray that society does not push us toward that abyss.

But we already know this is going to happen. Scripture has laid out what is unfolding around the world. While much of the population is wondering what is happening, Believers are referencing the Scripture as the roadmap to what is to come. Many of us have been proclaiming this truth for a long time now.

Our society is crashing down around us. If anyone believes that things are going to go back to normal after the Global Pandemic, you are sadly mistaken. Once Pandora’s Box is opened, it cannot be shut. In other words, when a government makes a move to gain control over a population’s rights and privileges, the government never returns the freedoms that were taken. Our world will be forever changed, and this means that going forward we must be very careful.

No longer can we rely upon the social interactions we have become accustom too. Moving forward we will be living in a society that questions the concept of gatherings or allowing anyone new into your trusted circle. We will no longer be able to participate in an event, without placing our lives at risk. The global psyche has been touched and there is no going back.

This control system that is ensnaring our society is moving faster than any of us could have imagined and there is no escape. Many will try, and many will fail. We know that this we lead to the ultimate hunting down and killing of those who will not participate in the global system that is unfolding (Revelation 13: 16-17). We are told that the stress of the time will be so severe that men’s hearts will fail them (Luke 21: 26-28) and that men will beg to die and cannot (Revelation 9: 6).

Understanding what must come to this world and being afraid of what can happen to you are two different things. We are told to not fear the one who can kill the body but to fear the one who can kill the soul. As the world makes its transition to this new system, we will be required to show who we truly fear, man or God!

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time, you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household!

So, do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So, don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10: 16-33)

The Dead Rise First: Death Must be Destroyed Prior to the Rapture Occurring

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18)

It ceases to amaze on the extent of anger that is triggered when talking to many Christians about the fact that there is a debate about the timing of the Rapture. That anger is present amongst the population that believes in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture theory as they want so badly for this doctrine to be true. This stance is so engrained in their theology that many are proclaiming that if you do not believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, that you will be left behind on your non-belief alone.

This hardnosed stance makes the debate about the Rapture timing even more difficult as many would rather fight about their theology being correct vs trying to understand what the Scriptures actually states. Many a heated debate has ensued trying to explain that the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is only a theory and just like all theories, it may be incorrect.

The current stance of the Pre-Tribulation community is that there are two events that occur at the end of the age. The first is the coming of Jesus in the clouds to gather his Church and the second is when Jesus comes to Earth, after the wedding feast, and reigns on Earth for 1000 years.

The entire belief of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is based on the assumption there are two events and not just one. That Jesus comes secretly for his believers and then comes publicly for the rest of mankind. The backers of this belief are left to proclaiming that the Church is not present within the Book of Revelation and that Jesus would not beat up his Bride prior to the wedding. Both of these are denying the fact that the Book of Revelation talks about the multitude killed for their testimony to Christ and that all mankind is guilty of sin, the punishment for sin is death and Christ can only marry a non-blemished bride. The corruptible must put on incorruption to gain entrance into Heaven and death is the pathway for man to do so.

Still the Pre-Tribulation community proclaims that the Rapture is what allows mankind to put on incorruption and make us ready for the wedding with our savior. This sounds wonderful but the one fact that they refuse to acknowledge is that the dead in Christ rise first, before the living are brought to the clouds.

The assumption is that these events happen at the same time and that is why the dead and living are together in heaven. This is not based in fact as the Scripture does not indicate that these events happen at the same time and instead leads us to assume they occur at different times. We can debate this point and get sidetracked but for all intensive purposes, lets assume that these events happen at the same time. Let us assume the dead and living rise at the exact same time, as their theory states.

With this assumption in place, we must investigate when the dead rise first. Many proclaim that this occurs at the last trump, but this would not allow for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture theory to be correct, so it causes complications:

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So, when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptions, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting” O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15: 50-57)

Most Pre-Tribulation Rapture believers use the passage in 1 Corinthians to show that the Rapture will occur and that it will happen in the twinkling of the eye, but they refuse to look at the rest of the passage or acknowledge that the verses state the change occurs at the last trump. Also, another interesting association is given to the destruction of Death and how it is swallowed up in victory at the same time. Many assume that this is just illustrating that once the Rapture occurs, that death no longer has power over mankind and that Jesus has won the war over him. This is correct, but the missing component is when does this occur? When does Death make an appearance during the End times and when is he conquered by Jesus? For the Pre-Tribulation Rapture theory to hold true, Death must appear prior to the Great Tribulation:

“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” (Revelation 6: 7-8)

This does not fit in line with the belief that the dead and living Christ believers will be risen prior to the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Many are proclaiming that Death has already been conquered and that we have redemption through Jesus Christ. We are taught that when Jesus died on the cross that he defeated Death at that time. If he defeated Death upon his resurrection, then how can Death ride as the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse? We can see that this teaching is false, and Death has a major role to play in the End Times.

The fact is that Death has not yet been defeated. This would mean that for the dead to rise, Death must be defeated first. Scripture must tell us as to when this would occur:

“Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the Firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the Firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom of God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is Death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him.

And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” (1 Corinthians 15: 12-28)

We are told in great detail how the second coming of Christ will be in association to the resurrection. Scripture states that every man would rise according to his own order, first with Jesus himself as the first fruits, then those that are Christ’s at his coming and then God’s rule will be put down onto the Earth. After this all Christ’s enemies will be put under his feet with Death being the last enemy being defeated. This is confusing as we are not taught this at all. This teaching does not fit within the teaching that all the righteous of mankind will be gathered prior to his coming, unless they are those that are considered Christ’s at his coming. Again, we must look to Scriptures as to an explanation of who is this group:

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them, and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years.

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20: 1-15)

Those that are considered Christ’s upon his return are those that had the testimony of Christ and who died during the Great Tribulation. This contradicts the Pre-Tribulation Rapture teaching as what Scripture actually states are completely different then what we are being told by the Pre-Tribulation community. Still many will proclaim that believers will be Raptured prior to the Second Coming and those believers will return with Christ when he comes. But when we look at Scripture, there is no indication that believers return with Christ, only the armies of heaven:

“And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dripped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.” (Revelation 19: 11-16)

Scripture is very clear that Jesus returns with the armies of heaven to wage war upon the earth. There is no indication that the saints will be within this multitude. But the stance that the saints will be gathered in heaven prior to the Great Tribulation is the most important fact within the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Doctrine. Without this there is no proof that there is a Rapture prior to the Tribulation. Many will still claim that the book of Jude shows that the saints will be returning in the clouds with Christ during this earthly raid:

“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied from these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of his saints,

To execute judgement upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaking great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.” (Jude 1: 14-16)

It easy to use the first portion of this reference out of context and stop at the fact that the Lord will return with ten thousand of his saints, but when we continue reading, we find that this population is the same population spoken about during the first resurrection. These are those that will reign with Christ during the millennial reign.

There is no inclusion within Scripture about the secret Pre-Tribulation Rapture as most Church leaders are teaching. So many want to hear this good message and proclaim that this must be true as we are told to comfort each other with this message. When has the message of eternal salvation become overshadowed by the teaching of worldly tribulation escape? Wouldn’t the teaching of eternal salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ be the message that should comfort us instead of a mysterious teaching of the secret rapture?

Too many want to hear a message that illustrates their ability to escape the judgement that will come upon the earth instead of understanding that we are to be a beacon of hope during this trial. We are to show the world why our Lord must judge this wicked world and why he must put an end to sin forever. We must remember that this is not about our will or want. This is only about the will of our God and we must accept what he has told us he will do!

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6: 9-13)

Dear Christians, You Need to Take a Deep Look in the Mirror and See If You Can Morally Support What is Happening?

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The king will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matthew 25: 31-46)

We, as a society, have become wicked and vile. Watching what is happening to our world is bringing many to the brink of exhaustion as we watch darkness overtaking everything around us. Blind as many are, they are also able to see the lack of love present within our world.

How can we justify our actions toward one another? We have all become vile and evil, every single one of us. Mankind was born within this sinful world and we are surrounded by sinful actions and now our very essence has become darkened by the wretched stench of our society. Everywhere we look, mankind has sacrificed its morals for some worldly objective. We are willing to overlook our own transgressions to justify our political, economic, racial or sexual stance and degrade those around us for their transgressions. We have lost the ability to look inwardly to determine the state of our own wretched existence and have replaced that with the judgmental, overbearing, society that we praise daily.

How can anyone justify their stance as being a Christian while they support the imprisonment and torture of those seeking refuge? How can we look directly into the eyes of those in need and justify their suffering existence as “karma” or “life choices” while refusing to see the advantages we all have been given? Anyone living on the streets or without hope are no less deserving of freedom and love as those on the top of the economic ladder. The only difference was the situation one was born into and the advantages given to those from prosperous economic situations vs those born into less fortunate situations or locations.

We as Christians must take a deep look at ourselves and see what is really going on in this world. We must see the hypocrisy of our actions and thoughts toward those less fortunate. Anyone who is unwilling to acknowledge their advantages within this world compared to the less fortunate are blind and unwilling to see their evil nature.

The greatest example that can be given toward this hypocrisy is in respect to the treatment of migrants around the world who need our help. How can anyone who claims to be Christian support the treatment of the refugees that are being placed into camps on our southern boarder? How can any Christian support a government that refuses to provide need and refuge to those who have had their entire island destroyed? How can we as Christians stand idle and watch as the homeless population within this great nation rises to astronomical levels while supporting the capitalistic society that has enriched the 1% and left the rest of us behind? How can we say we are Christians when our actions show that we are the complete opposite?

We claim to be the ambassadors for our Lord, yet we refuse to do the exact thing He instructed us to do. Jesus gave us specific instructions on what we must do to be counted in His number. How can we expect to enter eternal salvation when we are compliant with a nation that is doing the exact opposite?

We can make any excuse we want. We can justify our beliefs and actions until we convince the whole world but none of that matters. We as American Christians are failing at the only thing that counts. WE ARE FAILING AT PROVIDING AND TAKING CARE OF OUR FELLOW MAN!!! Without this we are all doomed and will not see the promised land. Without showing compassion to those who have lost everything, we are doomed to lose everything including our soul!

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who doses the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?’ then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you, Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7: 21-23)

Greed: Our Love for Money has Distorted Our Love for Each Other

“Someone in the crowd said to him, ‘Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me,” Jesus replied, ‘Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?’ Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.’

And he told them this parable: ‘The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, ‘You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.’’

But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12: 13-21)

Living within the modern world, we strive every day to increase our worldly abundance. Capitalism has created a society that presents the concept of “retirement” and the endless search to increase one’s possessions. We are told that this is the path to happiness and the ability to live a stress-free life after our daily toils are over. We have been sold this message and everyone is following its code.

What has this pursuit of “retirement” brought modern man? Many would say that it has brought the ability to travel the world, purchase any item they choose, and to live without daily work to create monetary satisfaction. Others would say, that striving toward “retirement” has created a culture of greed. One that causes mankind to always be searching for more, to place their money in their knapsack, and to no longer help their fellow man.

We can see both interpretations but as followers of God we must be understanding of what our Savior instructed us to do.   We are told that the pursuit of increased worldly goods is futile and something the foolish will do. We are told to strive toward God and that He will provide for our day to day needs.

Many will justify their hoarding as blessings from God and that they are entitled to this bountiful harvest. But they must ask themselves, what did you do to get this harvest?  Did you maintain all of God’s instructions during your business interactions producing this harvest?  Did you give freely without expectation of increasing your monetary status?

Too many will gladly say that they conducted themselves in a Godly way, but they are being foolish. It is understood that one would give to their children without expecting anything in return. This is expected but has also been lost within our society. We are witnessing daily stories about parents evicting their children, or fathers and mothers unwilling to help their children financially due to them believing that “no one helped me, so why should I help them”.  How can this thought even be something that is present within the God-fearing population?  This is a thought of Greed and no other! My do we have a society that believes that the children must rejoice upon receiving their inheritance instead of enjoying the bountiful harvest with their parents? How have we become so self-absorbed and entitled to believe that “if I give to my child, I will not have enough for myself?”  You are foolish and are only going against what Jesus specifically stated to do:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So, in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 7: 7-12)

How wicked of a generation do we live in that we actually have to address the act of giving to your children? Even during the time of Christ, He stated that the wicked understood the importance of giving to their offspring, but our modern, civilized man, is unable to do the same! How do we justify charging our child rent while they are living under our roof? If someone has abundance, how can we justify taking from someone who does not?  Make any excuse needed but there are different ways to teach your child, instead of causing additional damage to your relationship or their mental health.  Giving to your child, in every way possible, should bring joy and happiness but instead we have become so wicked that our love for our own family has grown cold!

How then must we address giving to those of need, when modern man is unable to give within his family, without expectation of profit? Every Christian has been told the importance of giving to the poor but what does it say about the state of the heart when we outwardly give to the poor, and boast about it, but refuse to give to our own family?  Numerous times it can be heard about one donating their time to the local shelter or giving to a church program for the needy, but those same individuals neglect the people within their own family!

Unfortunately, our society has gone so far into the dark that we no longer see what is right and what is wrong. Pray that we may be able to see the light and turn from our ways. Pray that we will be given the understanding that the hoarding of money and the outward giving of mankind, is only in the expectation of salvation and that we are not giving freely.  How can we say that we are following Christ, giving to the poor while our family members suffer?  Why have we become so blind? Has our pursuit for “retirement” caused us to stray away from God this much?  Just looking at our society today, we can see that we truly have lost our soul in our search for “retirement”

“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” (2 Timothy 3: 1-5)

My Lord, My God

My Lord, My God, I pray to you for the strength to do these things that I know not. For placing me in the mist of this world and seeing the darkness that this world worships. Thank you for opening my eyes to see your ultimate message and for being the Lord and Savior of my life. I understand that I do not deserve anything from you or this world, but my humble love for you gives me hope and strength to continue day after day.

Without you, I am nothing. Without you, I have no purpose and no hope. You are the one that has determined what my life shall mean and what I shall do with my life. I thank you for this gift and for allowing me the vision and understanding to know that my life is a blessing to you.

My Lord, My God. Even with this understanding I struggle with the visions that I see. I struggle with watching our world and the darkness it worships. I struggle knowing that I must continue going down this path when the outcome is so clear. I know that thy will must be done and that what you want is the only objective I shall follow.

I know that you have the best intentions for me and my family. I know that your grace shall guide me through these dark times. You have promised to provide me with everything I need, so that I may fulfill your promise and my destiny.

I hope and wish that your love gives me strength. I look to you daily for your guidance and mercy. I pray to you to make my journey easier, knowing that you cannot give me this wish. I know the times ahead are filled with anguish and torment. Not just for me but for the entire world. You have warned all of us that this time would come and that you would be cleansing sin from this world.

Many have forgotten your promise and warnings. We are living in a world that no longer looks to you for hope and salvation. Mankind believes that we can create our own destiny and that we are the ones with the power. The illusion that Satan used in the garden is alive and well in the Narcissistic society we live in today.

How are we to show the world your promise and to warn them of your judgment? How are we to spread truth when everyone is speaking lies? How can someone with nothing, bring light to a world filled with nepotism and powerful alliances?

We have stories of ancient people that you helped raise up despite insurmountable odds. To us these are stories of people that had your blessing and guidance but our modern world no longer believes that you will do this again. We are told that you will provide prosperity if we donate money to the right church leader or are touched by the blessing of others. We are told this but your understanding allows me to see right through their lies. How must someone combat these lies and deception, when so many believe?

My Lord, My God, I believe in you and that you will do as you promised. You shall raise up those that speak the truth and those that provide correction during a time of deceit. I believe you will give power and strength to all those that will do thy will. I believe that you will give me the strength I need to fulfill my destiny.

Thank you, my God, for being my light and for allowing me to see you. For knowing that you are true and just and that you have my best interests. When I doubt, you provide love and support in ways that I cannot imagine. I pray to you to give me strength, to be the one who you promised to me I would be. I pray for you to no longer hold back your gifts and to allow me to do thy will, just like you allowed those ancient believers to do theirs. To have their understanding and lack of doubt, so that I will know, beyond comprehension, what I must do. Thank you, my Lord and Savior and in Jesus name I pray. Amen

We Were Born For Such A Time As This

The times that we live in are dark and full of evil. We strive every day to live according to the instruction from our Savior but every day the darkness grows stronger. We watch as the world around us is being filled with violence and hate and we feel powerless to do anything about it. The darkness is coming closer every day and we know that our time is short.

We are told to be strong and to look up as our redemption draws near. We are instructed to shine our light into the darkness so that the world can have hope and love. We, as his remnant, are the ones that need to fight the darkness until our reinforcements appear.

The struggle is real. The battles are getting more intense and the mental and physical anguish of this world are taking its toll. The warriors are starting to show strain under the pressure of this world. Though they fight, battles are being lost every day.

Once we were told that this time would come and that we needed to be ready. Now that this time has appeared, many are losing focus and are being lead astray. Too many are saying they know the way and the truth and many are being deceived by their words. Many are following their itching ears instead of reading His Word.

The time has come! The time is now that we must gather our loins and find strength that we never knew we had. Now is the time to stop the doubt of our beliefs and understand that what we are seeing is real and what we were told is truly coming to pass. Now is the time we have been preparing our entire lives for!

God has opened our eyes and ears so that we may see and understand what is happening to our world. We are blessed to have knowledge that our Savior’s arrival is eminent. We are the generation that God chose to bring about the most destructive and amazing time in human history.

The events that are unfolding are just beginning. Like the events that unfolded during the Biblical times, stories will be written about what happens. Future generations will tell stories of courageous men and women that overcame outrageous obstacles to fulfill their destiny and God’s will.

We have that choice. Do we stand up for what we know is right and of our God or do we allow the darkness to overcome our souls? Do we see the end of the story and bring light into the darkness or do we allow the darkness to overcome our objectives? Do we cherish our lives above the will of God or are we willing to do His will, no matter the cost?

We are told many times within Scripture about the destruction that will come upon mankind during the end of the age. All of mankind has been told but we are the blessed generation that will see it being fulfilled. We must hold strong as we were born for a time such as this!

We Must Keep Our Promise to God as Our Faith and Patience Will Be Tested!

“Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your cloths did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.

Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to Him and revering Him. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land – a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have I multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you. You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 8: 1-20)

The promise that God gave the Israelites is no different than the promise of salvation given to the Church by Jesus Christ. In both cases a promise was made to prepare a place for them where they would long for nothing. Every need would be taken care of and all of their dreams would come true.  Everyone in the world today can see the promise that God gave the Jewish nation has come true with the establishment of the Israeli Nation in 1948.

Not only has the Jewish nation received their land back after an almost two thousand year hiatus, but Israel has prospered and thrived within this barren land. Jews from all over the world have come back to the Promised Land to repopulate the land God proclaimed to be theirs.

Christians have been promised to have a place prepared for them by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He promised that if we fulfilled our obligation that He would return one day and bring us to our Promised Land. The only difference between the promise God gave to the Jews and the promise Jesus gave to the Christians is that the Jews have received their Holy Land and the Christians have not.

These promises also have come with an obligation that must be fulfilled for the promise to remain intact. We must not forget the Lord our God and we must never bow down to another god or we will be destroyed.  This is consistent with both promises.

All around the world people are proclaiming that the end of the world is at hand and that the Great Judgment is almost upon mankind. The Jews are watching for their messiah to come and to have the Third Temple built with the reintroduction of the sacrifice where Christians are proclaiming that Jesus is returning and will destroy the Anti-Christ.  Even the non-believer can see that the world has gone crazy and that we are headed for a major crisis.

The Prophetic Scripture tells us that all of these events will happen and they will happen at a time of great peril.  The entire world will be filled with crisis and everyone will be looking for a Messiah to save the world from destruction.  The current developments within the Middle East and the buildup of the world’s armies in Syria have everyone looking toward the Old Testament prophets for answers. By reading these prophets and looking at the news, we are seeing Bible prophecy being fulfilled.

The Prophet Ezekiel speaks about the gathering of armies against the land of Israel in chapters 38 and 39, while the Prophet Isaiah describes the total destruction of the city of Damascus in chapter 17. These events combined with the gathering of the world’s armies happening in Syria, which is described in Revelation chapter 16, we can see the Living God coming alive within these events.

What must be understood is that we must be careful what we wish for! Yes we want to see our promise fulfilled just like the Jewish promise was but we must be prepared for what comes with it.  God’s Judgment is nothing to take for granted and nothing to wish upon others. What He has promised to do to the sinners of the world is truly horrific.  Actually looking at these events would make anyone with a heart wish that we could find another way.  A way that does not include so much death and suffering but this is the only way.  That is why we have been warned for thousands of years, so that we may be worthy enough to not partake of God’s wrath.

We as believers must do everything in our power to make sure that the truth is upheld and that as many that would listen are told the goodness of our Lord. This is our obligation by being alive during this time.  We are told that we will be tried and that our faith will be tested to see if we are true.  By the testing of our faith we will show our goodness and love toward our Creator.  We are all made of sin and we all deserve eternal death. None of us are good enough to enter eternal salvation by our works and we must be granted His grace to enter the presence of the Lord. This is the only way and once we understand that then we know what we must do.  We must proclaim the truth and hold true to our promise to not worship anyone above our God. This will be the true patience of the saints:

“Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth – to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.’

A second angel followed and said, ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’ which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.’

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: ‘If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they too will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of His wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.’ This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

Then I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, They will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.’ (Revelation 14: 6-13)
