With So Many Prophetic Events Happening, Why Are So Many Blind to What Is Going On?

“The disciples came to him and asked, ‘Why do you speak to the people in parables?’ He replied, ‘Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why I speak to them in parables:

Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty and thirty times what was sown.’

Jesus told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time, I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” (Matthew 13: 10-30)

For those who have been watching the prophetic events unfold and have been studying Scripture, the world has become a very exciting and fascinating place. We are witnessing events that the Prophets of old longed to see and these events are common everyday occurrences for us. Every day during the news cycle, we are witnessing tragic and magnificent events happening all over the world. Knowing what these events mean, we can only proclaim that our Savior is coming, and that the world will be judged! We can proclaim this as loud as our voices can be heard and still many are unwilling to see or hear the message.

The frustration of seeing the masses lack of understanding is exhausting. We explain until our voice is numb. We write until our fingers hurt. At times we want to shake those around us and ask why they cannot see and why they have allowed their hearts to become so hard.

The Lord warned us that there would be many who would not be willing to see or hear His message. They would allow themselves to be deceived and allow their hearts to become hardened by this world. Understanding that those individuals are losing their eternal soul causes even the strong to humble themselves before their salvation. We have been given the gift to be able to see and to understand what is happening around us.

Scripture warned us that even when the judgments rain down upon the earth, mankind would blame God and refuse to humble themselves before Him:

“Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, ‘Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.’

The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

The third angel poured out his bowl and the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: ‘You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, you who are and who were; for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.’ And I heard the altar respond: ‘Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments.’

The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They were demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

‘Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.’

Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ Then there came flashes of lightening, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away, and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plagues of hail, because the plague was so terrible.” (Revelation 16: 1-21)

Unfortunately, we are told through Scripture that as the judgments increase, those who refuse to humble themselves before God will actually curse His name. What we are witnessing within modern society is only the beginning and regardless of our desire to enlighten the masses, their choice has been made.

None of us, including God himself, want to see human suffering, especially on the scale talked about within prophecy. We all want to live in our fairytale that everyone we love and know will be in heaven with us, but unfortunately this is not true. We all must decide, and the decision is to follow God at all costs, or to turn away from Him. This is not a decision that can be made for us or without our full dedication. This is a decision that must be made, regardless of what we believe.

So many theories are swirling about how the end times will unfold and what will happen to believers during this time. The truth is that none of that matters. What we must understand is that judgment is coming for us ALL and we ALL will be required to take account for our sins. Either we humble ourselves before our Creator and ask for His eternal salvation or we face eternal separation from His grace. The excuse that we did not know what was happening or that we could not see the events unfold will only be an excuse and will not lighten our judgement. That is why it is so important to watch for what is happening to our world as what we witness today, what actions we take today, what words we use today, what we believe today may actually influence our eternity!

“Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, ‘Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.’

He answered, ‘The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angles.

As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.’” (Matthew 13: 36-43)
