Many voices are uttering that the disturbance within the current world is abnormal. Something is off and nothing is making sense. We have expansion of information to the point that understanding truth is becoming harder every day. We are witnessing the world spiral into war as the global economy is barely expanding. Anticipating the contraction of world trade, we see the world economy will soon be in a severe depression.
We can see if we want to see…….
Most Christians look to the opening of the Seals found within Revelation, as the sign of our destruction. Many understand that these Seals to be the beginning of the Apocalypse and the Church’s redemption. People throughout history have looked for the fulfillment of this prophecy and have named many historical figures as the one prophesized about. This has been consistent throughout the entirety of history as every world leader has been considered to fulfill the apocalyptic leader of the Anti-Christ. During 2017, the new dominate world leader would be President Donald Trump. As people said about Obama before him, now Donald Trump will be seen as a possible candidate for the Anti-Christ. Considering we are less than two weeks into his Presidency, are there any indications that President Trump could fulfill this prophecy?
To consider if Donald Trump is the Anti-Christ we will have to look at the Seven Seals and see if anything has been “Opened”. The Seven Seals of Revelation can be found in within Chapter 6 of the book of Revelation. The first Seal is stated like this:
“I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.” Revelation 6: 1-2
The opening of the 1st Seal talks about the rise of the Anti-Christ and how he is given a kingdom (crown) and a bow (weapon). Considering every world leader is given a kingdom and weapons, this would describe every world leader throughout history. Considering President Trump, this leader would be the same as considering Benjamin Netanyahu or any other Head of State.
The 2nd Seal of Revelation is as follows:
“And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out another horse [that was] red: and [power] was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the Earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.” Revelation 6: 3-4
Within this Seal we see that peace will be taken from the Earth and man will kill one another. Considering the imagery, we can see that this is depicting a massive war and possibly a civil war on a global scale. A big sword was given to him and many people died.
Reviewing President Trump’s actions of the last two weeks, we have witnessed the massive global riots, a ban on refugees coming into the US from Muslim countries, and verbal battles with Mexico and China. This is just a portion of all the activity that has happened since his inauguration. Could this be the opening of the 2nd Seal of Revelations? We will know our answer if these civic disturbances turn into full civil war.
The 3rd Seal of Revelation is as follows:
“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, a measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” Revelation 6: 5-6
The 3rd Seal talks about a Global Economic Crisis, most likely associated to hyperinflation, within the Commodity sector. In other words, it will take an entire day’s wages to purchase a loaf of bread. The value of human labor will be discounted and food will become a very valuable asset. With a large portion of Economists proclaiming that we are headed toward an economic crisis, could this crisis be the one talked about in Revelation? If massive civil war breaks out, be prepared to witness global hyperinflation.
The 4th Seal of Revelation is as follows:
“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.8 and I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the Earth.” Revelation 6: 7-8
The 4th Seal will be the last seal that we review today. Considering the chaos that is caused by the previous three seals, we can assume we would know we were in the mist of the Tribulation prior to the opening of the 4th Seal.
The 4th Seal of Revelation depicts two beings that great power is given to. With this power a large portion of the world’s population will be killed. The depiction of a sword shows the power of these beings and the use of a powerful weapon. Hunger and beasts of the Earth are used against mankind, meaning famine and animals will be weaponized. Those present during this time will have a strong understanding of what has happened to the world.
In retrospect, it is too early to determine if President Trump is the being prophesized about or if he is just another world leader. As his Presidency develops, if the massive unrest increases and becomes violent, then he may fulfill the opening of the 2nd Seal.
We all must hope and pray that we are counted amongst God’s Chosen that we may escape the trials that will be coming upon the Earth. Either this generation or a future generation will have to witness this prophecy being fulfilled. Until that time comes, we must watch for the Signs and become diligent in the Lord.
