Gog and Magog War

Are we witnessing Bible prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime?  Are these events just random or are they predetermined to happen precisely as God depicted?  If prophetic events are predetermined to be fulfilled, then through the Holy Scripture, we should be able to foresee events prior to their inception?  Is the interaction between Russia and Ukraine the tipping point in a prophetic storm?

The war in Ukraine is not a normal war.  It may be the beginning of WW3.  Russia is set to invade, the US is doing joint exercises in Poland, Saudi Arabia is purchasing weapons, Russia is dealing to Syria, and don’t forget about Iran and North Korea.  Now that Russian supporters in Ukraine are distributing anti-Semitic pamphlets, is the world is about ready to witness another holocaust?  Tensions are rising not only on the Russian/European front but here in the US.  FEMA has gathered enough ammo and coffins to start and end a major war on the home front.  Besides the fall of America, are we are witnessing the beginnings of the prophesized war in Ezekiel 38-3?

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.  I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out from your whole army – your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.  Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops – the many nations with you.” (Ezekiel 38: 3-6)

Russia is set to devour Europe but God has other plans.  They will be pulled into the conflict in the Middle East.  The most likely catalyst will be the conflict in Syria.  God will use Russia/Syria to destroy most of the Middle East (Isaiah 10: 12), finally coming against Israel.  When Russia invades Israel, there will be the earthquake spoken of in Revelation (Revelation 16:18).  Every mountain shall be moved.  The Russian troops will be destroyed and men will be employed to bury them.

“This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord.  In my Zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at the time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.  The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beast of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence.  The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.” (Ezekiel 38: 18-20)

This action will be for God to demonstrate to the world that he is the one true God and the God of Israel.  There is no doubt about who he is, when this event happens.  “I will make known my holy name among my people Israel.  I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord and the holy one in Israel.  It is coming!  It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord.  This is the day I have spoken of.” (Ezekiel 39: 7-8)

“On that day, I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east toward the Sea.  It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there.  So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog.” (Ezekiel 39: 11)
